Body Nature Artwork
I take as my main focus the exploration of nature in all its facets. The human body has always been a major part of my work,as has the physicality of nature – the environment. Being multi-lingual, I draw on poetry and language as a strong subtext in my work.
Painting is for me a mix of the physical, the spiritual and the intellectual. At one level, it lets me set the different parts of my character free – the inner child, the magician, the acrobat, the sage and the healer. At another level it creates a force of lightness and flow within me, drawing out my inner self and sharing it.
And lastly, I am a story teller. It begins with a word, a snippet, an experience and gradually takes shape, blossoming into the full work in its uniquely sacred way.
